SDI Wreck Diver

Wreck diving can be one of the most exciting aspects of sport diving, however every effort must be made to maximize safe diving techniques. The SDI Wreck Diver Course will discuss the equipment and techniques commonly employed while wreck diving. This course may be taught as a non-penetration, 2 dives required, or as a limited-penetration course, requiring 3 dives. Limited-penetration is defined as a swim through or within the ambient light of entry point.

• SDI Open Water Scuba Diver certification, SDI Junior Open Water Scuba Diver, or equivalent
• Minimum age of 18, 10 with parental consent for non-penetration course
• Minimum age of 15 with parental consent for limited penetration course
• Recommended minimum of 25 dives AND either the Advanced Adventure or Deep Diver certifications for the limited penetration course
• Divers must have the Deep Diver certification in order to make limited penetration dives below 18m/60ft

• SDI eLearning course
• 2 dives on a nearby wreck in Playa Del Carmen if doing the non-penetration course
• 4 dives on a nearby wreck in Playa Del Carmen if doing the limited penetration course
• Certification card upon completion of all requirements
