SDI Sidemount Diver
What is Sidemount Diving?
Have you ever wanted to do the equivalent of two dives without doing a surface interval? Or maybe you are thinking about exploring technical diving? Then the SDI Sidemount Diver course is a good place to start. During this course you will learn how to properly configure a sidemount harness and bladder to suit your individual needs, how to plan for gas usage, proper kicking techniques for efficient sidemount diving, and more.
Prerequisites
- SDI Open Water Scuba Diver certification, Junior Open Water Scuba Diver, or equivalent
- Minimum age of 18, 10 with parental consent
What's Included
- SDI Sidemount Diver eLearning course
- 1 day diving in confined water (open cenote) to learn how to dive in sidemount
- 1 day diving (2 dives) in the ocean
- Certification card upon completion of all requirements
While having your own sidemount equipment is recommended prior to starting the course, if you would like to try before you buy, we have equipment available for rent for $30 per day.
